About Us

Who We Are

ePassport.pk is an independent, Pakistan-focused information resource built around one goal: making the e-passport and passport process in Pakistan easier to understand. We are not a government department, a passport agency, or a paid facilitator. We’re an informational website that explains, in plain language, what the official process actually involves, so you don’t have to dig through scattered notices, outdated blog posts, or confusing forum threads to find a straight answer.

Why We Started This Site

If you’ve ever searched online for something as simple as “e-passport fee in Pakistan,” you’ve probably noticed the problem: ten different websites, ten slightly different numbers, several of them years out of date. Government fee schedules, application steps, and document requirements change from time to time, and a lot of the content available online simply hasn’t kept up.

We built ePassport.pk to fix that. Our content is researched directly from official sources, primarily the Directorate General of Immigration & Passports (DGIP), and is reviewed and updated as policies, fees, or procedures change.

What You’ll Find Here

Our site covers the practical questions people actually have about Pakistan’s e-passport and passport system, including:

  • Current e-passport and MRP fee structures, broken down by page count, validity, and processing speed
  • Step-by-step guidance for applying, both in person and online
  • Photo and document requirements
  • How application tracking and status updates actually work
  • Plain-language explanations of how the e-passport differs from the older MRP
  • Guidance for overseas Pakistanis applying through embassies or the online portal

We try to present this information the way we’d want it explained to a friend or family member: clearly, accurately, and without unnecessary jargon.

How We Research Our Content

Every guide on this site is built around publicly available, official information from DGIP and related government sources. Where official sources don’t clearly answer a question, we say so rather than guessing. Pages are dated with a “Last Updated” note so you can see how current the information is, and we revisit our content periodically to catch any changes in fees, rules, or procedures.

An Important Note

ePassport.pk is an independent, privately operated website. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the Government of Pakistan, the Directorate General of Immigration & Passports (DGIP), NADRA, or any other government body. We do not process passport applications, accept passport fees, or have any ability to influence or expedite a government application.

For official applications, payments, and authoritative guidance, always use DGIP’s official channels directly, including their official website and the e-Services Portal. Links to relevant official resources are included throughout our guides wherever possible.

Our Approach

A few principles guide how we build this site:

  • Accuracy first. We’d rather state a fact plainly and cite where it came from than pad a page with vague filler.
  • No agent services, no shortcuts. We don’t sell expedited processing, “VIP” application help, or any service that claims to bypass official government procedures. If you see anyone claiming to do this on our behalf, it isn’t us.
  • Plain language. Government and legal language can be hard to follow. We try to explain things the way we’d explain them to someone applying for the first time.
  • Ongoing updates. Passport rules and fees change. We aim to keep our content current rather than letting it sit untouched for years.
